The buffet was okay everything was fresh but the rice tasted really disgusting and burnt, I hear that this is a regular thing. Wasn't the worst I've ever had but definitely wasn't the best Chinese food. The place wasn't very busy and we did not get weight on since we did take the buffet we were never asked if everything was okay and had to ask for our bill. Since there is another Chinese food in Crossfield I would definitely not come back to this one and continue to go to the other Chinese food restaurant in Crossfield

Went here for dinner tonight, the buffet ended at 8pm and we got there around 745 so that was fine, understood they weren't going to fill it again. However, we were handed menus and picked some items, each item came out separately. We weren't given any plates or serving utensils ...ok fine I'll grab us some plates myself. Each item came out pretty bland but was able to enjoy most of it food wise. Not the greatest, not the worst. The service wasn't very inviting, for a new restaurant in crossfield you'd think the owner would be happy to see new people come in, not even a smile. The bill was rushed and placed on our table mid-meal almost as if we were taking too long.. we packed up our own leftovers and left with a ton of food we probably won't end up eating again.

I am glad we finally decided to try out GonHoo as we had a pleasant experience. We came in for the buffet but it was not on but we were happy to sit and order anyways! The food came quickly, the service was great and the restaurant was clean. We were really impressed by the sweet & sour pork and the ginger beef, which both my partner and I thought was one of the best we had ever had! Great flavour, and the meet was really nice cuts without being too breaded or fatty. Our waitress was an absolute doll to deal with, and was quick to refill our drinks. The price was very fair, and we will for sure be back to eat there again!

Ate lunch here today and it was amazing. Everything was made from scratch and super cheap too! Lunch special was huge and less than $10 to buy! Highly recommended.

My husband and I went for the buffet as we kept hearing good things about the new restaurant in town. Not a huge spread but decent for a small town and nice to have not the usual buffet items! Some of the items I think were named wrong but everything was really tasty! The eggs rolls (so nice to have as most places around here just so spring rolls) had the really chopped ingredients so you get everything in each bite, the only thing that could use a little more flavouring, was a little bland but cooked nice so that the wrapping was easy to eat with no hard bits or soggy areas. The ginger chicken (tag said ginger beef) was tender, sticky and delicious, and I dont like ginger beef! Rice (brown rice yeah and yum!!) had a nice smoky flavor! Chop Suey was perfect, lots of veggies, nice thick sauce and crisp bean sprouts! The filling in the won tons (soup and deep fried) is umami and I want more in the deep fried ones cause its so good! Chicken wings were nice and crispy, just like I love them! My favorite though was the mixed vegetables, I absolutely love broccoli and theirs tasted like it was grilled and made me drool and want nothing else but more broccoli! (I didnt have room to try the sweet ribs but that and the lo mein were her favorite dishes)! Husband and I both loved it and its such a decent price that I would go back every week! Came home and fell into a GonHoo coma and finished off a fantastic night! Definitely a recommend! So happy to have this in our awesome little town!
